Hôtel Beauséjour

The waitresses were friendly and always smiling. The restaurant is decent, and the French craft beer was good, even though it wasn’t local. They didn’t have a burger despite it being listed on the menu, but they told us as soon as we got the menu. There’s only one restroom for the whole restaurant, which is a shame.

We ordered the group menu in advance, and the homemade meal was very good, with generous portions for a reasonable group price. I brought 26 people to the restaurant during a steam train trip on July 2nd, 2023, and everything went perfectly. The dining room was spacious and bright, and the welcome and service were excellent. Afterwards, we had time for a quick, interesting visit to the village. The friendly restaurant owner even drove anyone who needed a ride to the train station. I highly recommend it!

The crispy snails are incredible. Everything is homemade and delicious, even though the dishes are simple. We were given a very warm welcome and the service was excellent.

We had to keep asking for our drinks even though the food had already arrived. The service was disorganized, with poor communication between the waitresses. We asked for a half-bottle of white wine, but they were out, so they brought red instead. We then asked for table wine. When the bill came, I checked it and found charges higher than the menu prices, including a bottle of white wine instead of table wine. The decor was passable. Another customer waited an hour to be served, and when he complained, the manager said that was normal and sometimes the wait was even longer. That felt like bad faith and incompetence. My advice? Eat somewhere else or fast.
