Albany Garden

Our room was in a section attached to the main building, and it was quiet, clean and felt safe for leaving our things while we took day trips. The AC worked really well, the courtyard was beautiful, and the kittens were friendly. My fiancé and I had meant to stay in Antibes, but Hotel Castel Mistral is just one train stop away in Juan-les-Pins, which worked out fine. We speak very little French, so there was a language barrier, but the hosts did what they could to help us and were kind throughout. We were leaving for the airport at 6:00AM on our last morning and didn't want to disturb them so early. When we asked to see them late that evening, they kindly let us check out then instead. The staff and service were impeccable. Hotel Castel Mistral is a great option if you're in the French Rivera. Visited July 2024.

We stayed eight nights and found it well suited to families or friends. Everyone was calm and kind, and the owner speaks English as well as French. The beach is very close, and the prices weren't too high. There's a brush by the entrance for brushing sand off your legs and feet, which helps keep it out of the building. Breakfast costs a reasonable amount and makes a hearty start to the day. I really recommend this hotel. P. S. The photos show a room for three, the waiting room with reading papers, the garden drying area, and the small parking lot for 4 cars.

The location is formidable, and the continental breakfast was good value compared with other places. I especially liked the French style coffee with warm milk. The railway runs outside, but it didn't disturb us at all. Stéphane and Christine have kept the hotel as it was built in 1947, so treat them with respect. It's a cultural gem, one of a kind. We really enjoyed our stay in this unique place. It has remained intact since 1947, with new, very comfortable beds and a refurbished bathroom. Cleaning was top notch, and beach towels were available.
