Apartment Port Prestige

What kind of place expects guests to leave a holiday rental in professional cleaning condition for the next person? I don’t mind tidying up after myself, but the email telling me to clean the whole apartment and empty the bins arrived only after booking. They also take a 300 euro deposit against this. Hire cleaners, for goodness’ sake. Premium indeed! This is a farcical expectation.

We took a chance on this residence after looking at Air bnbs and hotels, and it was beyond perfect for a week for two. There was room for four as well. The kitchen was so handy, the terrace was perfect, the pools were clean and cool, and the location was impeccable.

The marina-facing rooms have incredible views, though there’s more street noise. The location is prime, and I particularly appreciated having paid underground parking. Room cleaning is quite basic, with just one visit a week, and the rooms and facilities could use a bit of refreshing.

The pool was nice and the staff were really helpful. My only complaint is how tiny the bedroom is, literally just a bed with a foot or two of space around it. Otherwise, no complaints. The cat in the lobby was lovely too.
