The location was fantastic, and our room had a beautiful sea view. The bed was one of the best we slept in on our trip. The lovely woman at reception made us feel so welcome: she unloaded our car, checked us in, carried our luggage to the room, showed us where to park for free, and shared some good restaurant tips. It's a five-minute walk to catch the boat to Cap Ferret.

We loved the beachfront location, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Pauline at reception was especially helpful and sent our forgotten things to our house within three days. Thank you! We had two rooms. Our teenagers' room was clean and private, and they liked it. Ours was tiny and messy, right by the stairs and water fountain where everyone gathered to chat. We didn't like the lack of privacy: its terrace was so close to the neighbours' deck chairs that they were sitting just outside our room.

The building doesn't look very nice, and the room was tiny for the price. Breakfast wasn't included, and it was served in a windowless room, though you could eat in your room. The balconies are so close together you can look into other people's rooms, and cigarette smoke from the neighbour came into ours. Our room door was hard to open and close because the carpet was too high. The shower was stuck at a very high temperature and impossible to use. The receptionist apparently knew about the problem but didn't mention it.

We'd certainly stay again. The location and parking were excellent, and the rooftop terrace had beautiful views. The room and bathroom were excellent too, as were the staff. My only small gripe is that the tea, milk and other supplies could have been topped up more generously, but it wasn't a big deal.
