L'Ostrei

The rooms were amazingly clean, and the price was good for what we got. It seems to be a family-run place: the wife checked us in warmly, and we met the husband serving the buffet breakfast. Communication was good and the instructions were clear. We’d definitely come back and think it’s worth a visit.

Try the three-course dinner, it was delicious and good value. This is a small boutique hotel, with only a few rooms, in a good location. Everything was sparkling clean and tastefully done. The rooms are a little small, but the beds are comfortable and not as soft as those in big hotels. I definitely recommend it.

We stayed two nights in L’Ostrei in room 3, the green room, a small double. It was compact, but had everything we needed. Breakfast cost extra and didn't have much choice, though the quality was excellent. Arcachon is a pricey area, so this place felt like a good-value little find.

The two owners work hard and were wonderfully hospitable. This romantic little gem is tucked away, but within walking distance of a quieter beach that's ideal for picnics. I think the restaurant serves a Corsican menu. Sit out in the back garden with the friendly locals and enjoy the good wine selection.
