The night beside the vines was lovely, with the hedge giving us some shelter on the gravel pitch near the farmhouse. This was our second visit, and we were welcomed warmly again. On our first stay, the detailed tour taught us a lot, and we left with excellent Cognac, delicious Pineau de Charente, and a Christmas gift set of two Pineaus. After looking around Lanacau, Montalivet, and Carcans, we still think the Pineau made in Arcalis is by far the best. This time we bought two more bottles, plus a Cognac gift bottle with a gold ship design for a 30th birthday. A fabulous place to stop over.

The host made us feel very welcome, and the wine, Pineau, and Cognac were all sublime. Lovely vineyards too, and well worth a visit.

We found the surroundings wonderfully peaceful, and Carine was warm and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and decorated with real taste. Even our three-month-old had everything needed to be comfortable. We had a wonderful time here and highly recommend the estate.

The welcome was the finishing touch to a great stay. Breakfast was generous, the bathroom had everything we needed, and the bedding was high quality. Our large room was beautifully decorated. Five stars from me, and I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and our hosts had been very friendly and helpful with everything. The B&B is lovely, with a large room and terrace in a peaceful spot among the Cognac region vineyards. We did have bad luck with the heat: it was 41 degrees during our stay, and without air conditioning it became very hot indoors. We could only use the terrace after sunset and saw very little of the area because of the temperature.
