Au Primerose Hotel

The breakfasts were enormous and just right before a day on the bike, and the bicycle locker room seemed purpose-built for cyclists. Philippe, the third-generation owner, was incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed three nights in comfortable rooms, and I’m already tempted to come back next year to tackle a few more of the excellent nearby peaks. Just a brilliant place for a cycling trip.

We were seven people staying five nights, and the hotel made our cycling trip easy from the start. Philippe helped arrange bike hire and an airport taxi, and was just as friendly throughout our stay. The secure garage, tools, and epic climbs right on the doorstep make it superbly set up for cycling. Our air-conditioned room had a comfortable bed, and the food was good quality and plentiful. What more could we ask for?

Half board is well worth considering, the evening meals were excellent. I had a great stay while cycling in The Pyrenees, and the hotel has a very secure garage for bikes, with tools and other gear. The room was simple but had what I needed: a comfortable bed, a great shower, and a balcony. I’d happily recommend it and hope to return.

We had a lovely time and even made good friends during our stay. This family-run hotel is especially well suited to cyclists, with a secure room for bikes, dinner available on site, and laundry service. The owner is attentive, friendly, and clearly wants guests to feel at home. It’s also ideally placed for incredible Tour de France rides in the Pyrenees.
