Breakfast outside was lovely, and when the wind made the nearby beach less appealing, we had the peaceful pool to enjoy. Corinne also had helpful restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We’ve come back at least three times for weekends in Argeles. Our first visit, three years ago, made us happy to return, and we still feel the same. Corinne, who runs the place with her husband Jaap, remembers her guests and is warm and friendly. If you’re new, she explains everything carefully. We were lucky to get the last room after another booking was cancelled, and Corinne fitted us in when I contacted her directly. It had everything we needed: a clean room, comfortable bed, air conditioning, kettle with tea and instant coffee, plenty of outlets, cupboard and shelves, towels, shampoo, and shower gel. From our side of the room there was a magnificent hill view. The balcony had pegs and a clothesline for drying swimwear and towels. Breakfast had the usual continental choices along with homemade jam, cakes, crepes, and Jaap’s excellent omelette. They can cater for food allergies, just let them know when you arrive. Their two lovely labradors, Tess and Belle, are adorable and friendly. Thanks, Corinne and Jaap, for another wonderful weekend.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, a great shower, and, depending on which one you get, a lovely balcony to sit on. It’s peaceful here and incredibly close to Le Racou and the beach, as well as the scenic coastal walk toward either Collioure or Le Racou. Corine and Jaap are wonderful hosts. Definitely recommend ❤❤

Our 10-year-old daughter loved spending time playing with Tess, the dog, while we took it easy beside the beautifully kept pool. The garden is wonderful too. From here, Racu beach is only a short drive or walk if you can pull yourself away from the pool and garden. Corinne and Jaap are charming hosts and looked after our family brilliantly.

Room #3 was super clean, and we made use of its lovely little balcony and laundry line every day. Breakfast had such a huge spread, with freshly baked cakes and crepes from Corine. And ask Jaap for an omelet, it was the most delicious thing you could call an omelet :-) We spent time by the pool each day, and Le Racou beach was an easy 1 km drive with simple parking. Corine and Jaap make their home feel full of soul. Corine greeted us, showed us around the property, and explained everything clearly. She’s so kind and welcoming. Tess, their spirited, lovely, soft dog, is part of the welcome too. Davide and I would be friends with Corine and Jaap if we lived closer. We highly recommend this comfortable home!
