The lunch buffet was a good size, with enough choice in each category without feeling overwhelming. I had the chicken Normandy-style, real mashed potatoes and tender green beans, and it was all very tasty. The desserts were homemade tarts, fruit, or self-serve ice cream. It’s a very reasonably priced three-course lunch at 11€, and wine or cider in a 25cl glass costs just a couple of euros more. The staff were friendly and efficient. I also smiled at the sign warning of a 3€ charge for wasting food. Good for them! I noticed online that rooms were 50 - 60 euros, though I didn’t see them. I’ll certainly come back for lunch soon.

We stayed three nights and left with bug bites, though I can’t say exactly what caused them. The room wasn’t clean, and both the bedsheets and wall were stained. The bathroom was okay, but there were only two large towels and no hand towels. The advertised Wi-Fi worked in the hall and dining room, but never in our room. When we raised it with the owner, he said he was closed for the evening and didn’t deal with it. He was neither friendly nor helpful. We absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who values sanitary conditions.
