We stopped here on a long family drive from Geneva toward the south of France, and it was just right. The beds were comfortable, the place felt clean and welcoming, and there’s a refreshing pool to enjoy. The staff were very helpful too.

Birdsong was part of the stay, with Nightingales calling throughout the day and evening, a Little Bustard next door, and plenty more birds just a 100m walk away. It’s a lovely setting, the service was excellent, and rooms are being improved under new management.

We came as a group of fourteen and stayed four nights, starting on the hotel’s first day back open after refurbishment. The rooms had recently been redone, with modern bathrooms, and there was an outdoor pool. It’s a small hotel run by a very pleasant couple who had only recently taken over. We enjoyed the food and the excellent service, and have already made plans to come back later this year.

Just one night for us, but it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, and breakfast had a good choice.

The owners dealt with every snag straight away, and even fed us at 11 pm after the Mistral sent us from Marseille to Nice on our arrival. The food was delicious and local, though I’d have liked two choices for dinner. That’s a small point. We stayed four nights with Naturetrek, and the hotel was a great base for exploring, walking, and birdwatching. In early May we woke each day to Sparrows chirping and Nightingales singing. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was just warm enough.
