The rooms were nice, the price fair, and we enjoyed the evening meal. The setting and the views are stunning. We’d read the reviews and expected the owners’ attitude to be worse, though it could still improve a little. It had a bit of the mentality or mood of people from Berlin.

Lovely view from the room, and the restaurant was good. The owners were very nice too. Getting to the garage with my bike was a little tricky.

There was no parking at the hotel, despite booking.com saying free parking. When I asked reception about parking nearby, the man said he couldn’t help. The staff weren’t friendly or customer oriented, and we couldn’t get into our room before 4pm. With neither a room nor parking available, I ended up booking another hotel in riom. Avoid.

A cute little place, tucked a bit out of the way, and a lovely area to explore. The rooms were basic but comfortable and did the job.

A clean room, friendly staff and a fixed menu for dinner that was very good. Just the sort of small French country hotel you’d expect.
