The garden gave our little girl plenty of room to enjoy, especially the chickens and horse. We spent a week here and found the apartment roomy, with a separate bedroom for her. It had what we needed for cooking, laundry and the dishwasher, plus a child’s bed and seat. The restaurant next door was handy for lunch or dinner, and the hosts were great. A good place to get away while still having things to do nearby. We’d come back.

The gardens were lovely to sit in, with plenty of wildlife around, including Cirl Bunting, Fire Salamander and lots of Stag Beetle. Magalie made us feel very welcome at Gîtes Le Vieux Vinzelles. It’s a wonderful spot to unwind, with a lovely host and a great location.

Fresh eggs every morning and everything we needed for our daughter made the week in the chateau especially easy. The hosts were wonderful, and our stay last year was perfect. 5/5, I’d recommend it.

The cottages were clean and well furnished, but be careful about charges after you leave. The owner wouldn’t do a checkout inspection, then billed us an hour after we’d gone for an allegedly extra sheet that was in the cottage, and for the cottage itself, which she said we weren’t entitled to. She thought we should have called at 2:00 AM to ask for extra sheets.
