Hôtel Voltaire

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are bright and simple, and I loved the colors. We got there early, and a staff member let us leave our bags at the cafe across the square. Big thanks to Olivia for helping us sort out our check-in!

The place looks beautiful, and you can tell real effort went into it, so I think it’s worth visiting and supporting. We stopped by for breakfast coffee and a croissant, both good and just what you’d expect in a French square. Service was slow, though still courteous. In the evening, they wouldn’t let us sit down just for a drink because we weren’t having dinner, even with most tables empty. That was a bit disappointing. They were very nice about letting us walk around inside, at least.

Definitely worth going if you’re in the mood to try something different. The dishes were truly delicious, and unlike things you’ll find at other restaurants. They make you wonder what you’ll choose next time you come back :). The staff were very polite and kind, and gave us all the information we wanted.

The new chef is incredible! We tried the tataki, buratta, and a few other things, and every dish was exquisite. Service was so pleasant too. It had that lovely living-room feeling that’s hard to recreate :)
