Hotel Spa Le Calendal

The spa was incredibly peaceful, with a view of the amphitheatre just metres away, and the rooftop bar looks out over the rooftops and Roman sites. I also had a delicious lunch at the café that was great value. My room was a good size, nicely decorated, and had a private terrace with a table and chairs. I slept really well in the comfortable bed, with no noise and the shutters keeping the light out. The central location is perfect, and the bar and café at the front give the place a lovely buzz. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. Thanks for making my first visit to Arles so special!

The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable, just what I want when I travel. There’s a lot to like here: breakfast in the garden, evening cocktails on the roof overlooking the region, and friendly, exceptional service from the staff. The hotel is right in the heart of Arles, so you can walk everywhere. If you have a car, take them up on their parking reservation offer. What a delight!

We had a private terrace off our first floor room, a lovely place to sit among the flowers and listen to birds and church bells. We stayed four nights in mid May, our first time in Provence, and found the location easy to get around from. The room and breakfast were lovely, the service was top notch, and we enjoyed drinks on the terrace every evening. Their dinner recommendations were excellent too. Arles is a gem with so much to see and experience, we could have stayed much longer. We’d definitely return!

We stayed three nights in the family room, just two steps from the arena. We even got to watch two defiles while we were there. The welcome was the best we received in France, and the service was amazing, including same-day full laundry. Breakfast was lovely. We hope to come back someday.
