The old house has plenty of charm, and its age is the one drawback, though it also gives the place some of its character. We got to enjoy a lovely Christmas atmosphere alongside the property’s personal style. The decor is original and full of character, and the setting is inspiring. Our room was very spacious, with a clean, comfortable bed. We only had breakfast, but it was varied and more than enough. The hosts were polite, helpful and welcoming.

Gilbert made sure my wife, our three small dogs and I had everything we needed. He was an accommodating host, and the location was convenient. The gardens are gorgeous, the furnishings beautiful, and the old French farmhouse has been tastefully refurbished into a charming country hotel. Highly recommended!

The food was fabulous without being expensive, and the wine recommendations were spot on and well priced. We were treated like important guests in a beautiful country home, with nothing too much trouble, but without the over-attentive service I dislike. It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed. We rarely return to places, but we’re already planning another visit.

At Le Mas Saint-Florent, the hosts were helpful throughout and gave us full access to their lovely home and grounds. My wife and I had a fabulous, relaxing stay, with excellent food and very good service. We’d definitely recommend it.

We paid 359 EUR per night for two rooms sharing one bathroom. The pool and the water in it were so dirty that we couldn’t use the facility. I can’t recommend this for families, as the mansion is a smokers household.
