The courtyard really invites everyone to sit and chat, but we never saw anyone there. It felt like a missed opportunity. Maybe the owners could bring new guests together on their first evening and share tips about Uzès and Nîmes, so people could get to know each other. That could be especially nice for families, or perhaps they could offer a local-food barbecue for anyone interested. The house itself was beautiful inside and out, spotlessly clean, with great scenery, a fantastic barbecue, and a very nice pool. Nearby Uzès, the winery, and the museum were all fantastic too. There’s a campsite nearby with exactly the same name, though it has nothing to do with the gîte. They like to party there, and we could hear them clearly from our balcony until midnight. We also found the owners’ English a little hard to understand. After a 16-hour drive, arriving before check-in time made us feel a bit unwelcome. I think it was probably a language barrier, but it felt odd. Even with those small things, staying here was a fantastic experience.

This renovated former sheep farm near Uzès has four apartments, all tastefully decorated. The garden has cute picnic spots, and there’s a nice outdoor pool. A lovely place to relax and take in the scenery.

The hospitality was brilliant, and I’d happily recommend a stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful in the countryside that it felt as if we had the whole house to ourselves.

The hosts were welcoming, helpful, and always available. Our lodge was clean, well equipped, and beautifully decorated. For a bit more privacy, lodges #1 and #2 are more tucked away. Lodge #5 gets the most foot traffic, though it’s still very pleasant. We highly recommend it!

We loved our stay in lodge 2. It had refined decor, a large terrace with a jacuzzi, and a generous breakfast basket delivered to the terrace each morning. Such a peaceful, restorative place, and the welcome was very warm.
