The bed, staff, and wifi were the best parts for me. Breakfast was alright, especially the fresh orange juice and fancy tea. The building and reception are modern, with movies as the main theme, and it’s about a 15-20min walk from the city center. In the room there’s a clothes hanger, a big TV, a seating area, and the bed. Toilets and shower are separate. The shower was just okay, and getting a comfortable temperature took some effort. The amenities were mediocre, just two paper cups and soap dispensers. A gross water stain on the 4th floor wall and the soundproofing could also be better. I’d still recommend the place, but I don’t want to risk getting burned or stuck with cold water in the shower.

The staff were very pleasant, especially the woman overseeing breakfast, but I wouldn’t stay again for the price. The bedroom was huge and comfortable, with a lovely bath and lots of soft towels. There was only one very thin pillow per person. The room was very dark, with a small window behind a horrible prison-like grate that hid the beautiful view. Traffic noise came through the double glazing all night. The bedrooms at the back don’t have grates, and I wonder if they’re quieter. The fridge was noisy, so I unplugged it. Breakfast was mostly inedible and very poor. The fruit salad was definitely off, the baguette was like the English sponge version, and the butter and jams were communal. The worst part was the frozen pastries. The juice and coffee were nice, though. If you know it, Ibis Budget offers much better value for breakfast. I’d been wanting to try this hotel for a while, as I visit Arras often and usually stay in an AirBnb.

We stayed for 4 days. The parking was good, but the restaurant was never open, and there was nowhere in the room to make tea or coffee. Good, though a little disappointing.

We stopped here on the way to Italy and were impressed with the comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Parking in the next door car park was very convenient, and cost E10, payable at the hotel desk. We’ll stay again.
