The kids had a great time with the pool and animals, and we got to enjoy a lovely homemade dinner using food from the farm. Be sure to reserve it. The host was very friendly, and the place was clean and wonderfully quiet. A great spot to unwind.

We had a warm welcome and were lucky to share a family meal, which felt much quieter than eating in a restaurant. The farm's food was all homemade, and her daughters were adorable. Her eldest makes her own wonderful goat cheese. The room was decent and very clean, with a large bathroom. There was still some work to do outside, but it is the countryside, with a fireplace and a pool for summer. The region is lovely 😀. A coffee maker in the bedroom or living room would have been nice.

The bedding was perfect, and the night was completely quiet. It feels like being at home, with coffee, bread, and other things available if you ask for more. Alla puts a lot of heart into serving what she produces herself, from farm meat and vegetables to herbal teas made with plants from nearby, plus homemade cakes, jams, and cookies at breakfast. The value for money is truly excellent. Alla is someone worth getting to know: sometimes a little blunt, but principled, running her business with a firm hand and a big heart.

The location was nice and the host was friendly, but the service let the stay down. Breakfast was especially poor: stale bread, a brioche that was a week old, one tub of butter for ten people, and juice from a shop. Even the napkins smelled unpleasant. Dinner was no better, and at €26 it was completely underwhelming. Poor value for money.

Meals were a real highlight. The ingredients were allowed to shine, even something as simple as the ham, and the portions were generous and varied. La Ferme du Bouton d'Or turned out to meet all our needs: near Lyon, very quiet, surrounded by nature with no neighbors, a pool, good food, and dogs allowed. The energetic, friendly hostess and her adorable daughter, who makes amazing goat cheese, made it even better. There are horses, goats, and pigs too. We had a wonderful, refreshing stay immersed in nature. Thanks again for the hospitality!
