Agréables F2 Proche Gare

We paid €522 for one night during the 24 Hours of Le Mans, plus a €200 deposit through a third-party website. I know it was race weekend, but that price felt severely excessive given the state of the apartment and the host’s behavior. Calling it poor value hardly covers it. The service was nonexistent, the place felt unsafe, and the whole stay was a disaster. Avoid this place. Before we arrived, a confusing Booking app message said we had to pay a deposit through a separate third-party site before we could get check-in instructions. This requirement wasn’t mentioned in the listing, and the host never answered our attempts to clarify. The message said the deposit wouldn’t be charged, but €200 was taken from our account. At the property, the key was sitting in an outdoor box that wasn’t locked because it was broken. Anyone could have accessed the apartment, which felt like a serious security risk. The shower floor was dangerously slippery, the cleaning was poor, and the thin windows let in every sound from the street. The Wi-Fi details didn’t work, and the network name they gave us didn’t exist. We tried the Booking.com chat and both phone numbers: nobody answered the number in the listing, and the one in the welcome email didn’t exist. We didn’t get a single useful reply during our stay.
