We came home refreshed, with lovely memories from a wonderful week at Chalet Carpe Diem. After two great hikes, a tour around Lake Serre-Ponçon, and visits to Gap and Embrun, it was hard to say goodbye. The chalet is comfortable, cozy and well equipped, with lovely Christmas decorations, plenty of good books and DVDs, and a breathtaking view with beautiful sunsets. Bertrand, a renowned photographer, welcomed us so warmly and took time to explain the chalet and local attractions. His love for the region really shows. Everything felt just right for a relaxing holiday, and we highly recommend Chalet Carpe Diem for 2 to 4 people.

The place was in a peaceful spot in a beautiful region, and our host was very responsive throughout the stay. It was spotless when we arrived and matched the photos. He took the time to explain everything and point out places worth seeing nearby.

We picked this lovely chalet for our first romantic weekend away, and it felt so much like home that leaving was hard. I hope we get to spend many more stays here. The walks nearby are superb, around Serre-Ponçon lake and Saint-Apollinaire. As someone who loves photography, I was in my element, especially knowing we could see the owner's work. He's a professional photographer himself. Thanks for a wonderful stay! 😁😊

Bertrand was a lovely, friendly host, attentive to his guests and full of helpful advice. The chalet was spotless and had everything we needed. We had a superb weekend, and the chalet and its setting really stayed with us. If you're after a relaxing break, we highly recommend Carpe Diem chalet.

An exceptional host, a chalet thoughtfully equipped for the people staying there, and an idyllic setting with views of the Céuze mountain and the Pic de Bure. It's close to Gap and Serre-Ponçon, too. Have you ever had a welcome like that? If not, hurry to this Carpe Diem chalet. Without it, the Hautes-Alpes would be a mistake.
