We spotted this hotel on Google last week while touring Normandy. There were three of us, and we needed a room that could fit everyone. Luckily, they had one that worked, as well as double and family rooms. The owners were very nice, and our room was clean, pleasant, and looked recently renovated. It was reached from an adjacent street rather than through the hotel, about 75 metres away, which was no issue. Breakfast was amazing by French standards. I had the best croissant I’ve ever tasted there. We’d love an excuse to come back soon. The only reason I didn’t give five stars for service was that I would have liked the bar to be open. I understand it was closed in the low season, and there’s a nice bar down the street anyway. I definitely recommend this small hotel.

Vito was very welcoming when we dropped in after finding the hotel on Google during a last-minute change of plans. He sorted out rooms for us, and they were comfortable and newly refurbished. We felt reassured having parking for our motorbikes, and the pizza was great. The one downside for us as an English couple was no kettle, tea, or coffee in the room. We’d recommend this friendly little hotel.

Arromanches is a delightful, friendly town, and the beach and sunsets are special. The area is wonderful for exploring the Normandy beaches and D-Day history. We were glad to find accommodation in the heart of Arromanches-les-Bains during the D-Day commemorations, and the stay served its purpose. The beds were comfortable and the bedroom nicely presented, with a spacious room and shared outdoor decking. But the decking wasn’t furnished as advertised. There were broken pots, wheely bins, damaged furniture, and cigarette butts, as it’s where staff smoke. The rooms are independent from the hotel, more like rooms attached to a restaurant and reached from another street. The stay was let down by poor service to restaurant guests and a lack of cleanliness. The shower was outdated, there was dirt and dust under the beds, and we didn’t have a kettle or cups, or enough pillows. We weren’t welcomed as staying guests when we tried to get food or a drink, and were rudely turned away because they were busy. We didn’t try the restaurant again. We’ve visited many times and will come back to the area, but personally we’d choose somewhere else to stay.

Room 5 was on the top floor, and its ceiling window opened onto an amazing view of the cathedral clock tower. The room had a double bed and two single beds, and the pillows were comfortable. The hotel was decent for the price, with accommodating staff, an awesome breakfast, and the best restaurant in town. The toilet and its tiny sink were separate from the shower room, which was large enough for a big suitcase and travel bag. It also had a good-sized sink and a full-length mirror, plus another mirror by the sink. Parking was free, either on the street or in small lots about 100 metres away. The location was great, just a block from the Museum, the 360 cinema D-Day exhibit, the beaches, and La Marine restaurant.

I’ve eaten here three times and have always been treated very well. The Restaurant is excellent in every way, with wonderful cuisine and a great wine list. It’s near the Landing Museum and makes a lovely place for a happy, satisfying lunch. Congratulations to the owners and employees. Come and see!
