My father stayed at the hotel while visiting us, since we have a studio nearby. He really enjoyed the breakfast, and the owners were so kind. They suggested things for us to do around the area and even helped Dad practice his French. Inside, it’s lovely: modern, eclectic decor alongside the old, beautifully restored stonework.

The room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a lovely feel, beautiful linen, and a bed we found incredibly comfortable. But what really made our stay at La Demeure was the hospitality from Sandrine and Stephane. They made us feel at home and thought through every detail. Breakfast was a real treat each day, with a beautifully laid table, unusual crockery, and plenty of delicious choices. My husband is vegetarian and I’m gluten free, so hotel breakfasts can feel like an afterthought for us. That wasn’t the case here. There were specially made treats too, including fresh asparagus, stuffed Aubergine rolls, and an amazing omelette. We’ve travelled a lot, and it was the best breakfast we can remember. La Demeure has a distinctive style and is genuinely comfortable. We’d be back in a heartbeat.

The hosts were fantastic, and the views from this lovely old building are beautiful. It felt cosy, clean, and like a home away from home. Breakfast was delicious, with fruit, jams, tea, pastries, and plenty more. A real gem for the price. We’d happily visit again.
