The suite called "Chanel" had plenty of room, a comfortable feel, and a good bathroom. We found the B&B remarkably quiet, even though Aubazine is only a couple of kilometers away. There are easy walks nearby, including one to the viewpoint and another down the canal des moines into the charming town. The Michelin Green guide calls Aubazine "worth a detour"; I’d say Le Saut de la Bergère deserves one too. Ciara cooked delicious, interesting food and presented it beautifully, and Ruud was a perfect host.

What stood out most was how kind and generous Chiara and Ruud were during my stay. They made me feel so welcome, and the three-course dinner they cooked was absolutely delicious. The setting is lovely too, tucked among trees on a mountainside, with beautiful views and a walking trail right nearby. My room was clean, spacious, and had a nice boutique look; the bed was very comfortable and the shower was just what I needed after a long day of travel. There was everything I could have asked for. I’d happily stay here again.

We spent a long weekend at Le Saut de la Bergère and went on a few bike rides through the beautiful area. The rooms were clean and good, and breakfast was nice. The owners were friendly and helpful. Dinner is well worth trying, it was delicious.

The unclear notice that this is an adult-only place, together with the no-refund policy, felt hostile to families and, to me, somewhat immoral and possibly even illegal. I can’t recommend the place because of this poor business practice.
