The management were friendly and helpful. When our refrigerator stopped working, they gave us a replacement for the rest of the stay without charging extra. There are activities for kids, a lovely court for football and other sports, and a fantastic surrounding area with lots of historic cities to visit. Still, I wouldn’t expect a four-star stay here, despite the campsite’s rating. The pool is small, the cafeteria mostly has fast food and snacks and doesn’t feel cozy, and the sanitary facilities need an upgrade. The water is only just warm enough on hot days and too cold when the weather cools; you can’t adjust the temperature. All the toilets lack seats, and the toilet paper holders are awkwardly behind you. The free WiFi claim is also inaccurate: it currently costs 7.5 euros for one device for a week, or 15 euros for two weeks. There were other plans, but I don’t remember them. Communication can be difficult if you don’t speak much French, since many of the student workers employed in summer seem not to speak English. Noise was another issue, both from activities until 23:30, I think, and from guests well past midnight. It didn’t seem like quiet hours were being enforced as at some other campsites. We complained, and the next night was quieter, though I can’t say whether that was because of us. I’d recommend it to younger people with tents or families in cabins, just with realistic expectations.
