The modern toilet blocks looked clean, but the basics were missing: no toilet paper, hand dryers or paper towels, and the soap dispensers were empty. All four showers were cold, and each €1.70 token lasted only about two minutes. We couldn't pay for the tokens by card, even though we'd paid for the campsite that way, so we spent another hour driving around to find a cash machine. It was one of the more expensive places we stayed. Our pitch was spacious and well kept, but that was the only real plus. The glowing reviews seem to come mostly from people in cabins and static caravans. We were in a campervan, and this was the worst campsite of our European road trip.

It's a short walk to the village centre and the local lakes. The pitches are on the small side, though ours had enough room for a car and a large tent. There's a pool and a small bar, but unfortunately the bar is closed on Mondays. A lovely little campsite.

We stopped in Bethune and enjoyed its lovely square, with cafes and restaurants. At the campsite, the owners were friendly and hedges between the pitches gave us a good sense of privacy. The shower ran hot and the token gave you plenty of time. It was clean and very quiet, a great place for our overnight stop on the way back to Calais. We'd happily stay longer next time and highly recommend it.

The pool water was quite cold, there were lots of restrictions on what you could do in the pool, and staff enforced them very strictly. Showers cost extra and ours seemed very cold too. The sanitary facilities were old, though clean. We camped in tents with our kids for three nights, but were given a muddy spot even though plenty of nice grassy ones were empty. Most of the site is taken up by regular chalets, and we would have preferred a spot among other campers. One family hoping to camp together was placed far apart, despite, from what I could see, no more than a third of the pitches being occupied. I absolutely can't recommend this campsite.

We had a tent, and there was easily enough room for two tents and a car, though the camping area isn't very big. The pool is deep but quite small, with lots of rules about what you can do in it. The sanitary facilities are new, but you have to pay to use the shower.
