In the main square of a pretty village, this restaurant serves a menu de jour with three choices each for starters and main courses. The food was nicely presented, tasty, and fairly priced. The manageress speaks both French and English, and made everyone feel welcome with her hospitality. We'll be back soon and would certainly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed.
I've always liked this place. You can drop in alone, with friends, or with man's best friend, and you're never rushed. There are lots of seats, from comfy armchairs to benches, so visiting on your own feels perfectly fine. The staff and host are attentive and happy to accommodate requests. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. Stop by for wine, coffee, lunch, or dinner. You're always welcome.
On the square in pretty Aubeterre, this is a great little pub and restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food. Manager Jill is awesome and puts on interesting evenings, going the extra mile. The young chef's food is really tasty. Look out for the curry evenings and other themed nights.
We had a great time here. The staff were nice and the atmosphere warm and friendly. There was a band playing out front, with three very good singers doing 70's and 80's songs. The food was good too, and the Kickass beer at 7 or 8% was great.
Dinner needs booking ahead since it's a popular place, and the menu is rather limited, which is why I gave four stars. The food was very tasty and the service excellent. It's often open when other places aren't, and definitely worth a visit.
