L'ancien Cafe - Luxury Gite 2-4 pers

That tucked-away patio was the highlight for us, perfect for a glass of wine and a book. My wife and I needed somewhere to work away from home for a week, and this stay was just what we were after. The gite was well equipped, with good internet and plenty of things for cooking at home. We felt comfortable and very welcome. Highly recommended!

We were in town for a wedding and could walk to everything we needed. The room was spacious, very clean, and wonderfully quiet. The hosts were so friendly, and we loved the amazing breakfast. We'd stay again, there was nothing to complain about. 5* all round.

We had such a lovely holiday and are already looking forward to coming back. It was peaceful, with lots of trips to take nearby. Our room was clean and everything in it felt new. We were traveling with two small kids, so the big garden and pool were really useful. The owners were friendly and helpful.

The peacefulness of Aubigne was a lovely place to return to after driving around to see nearby communes, with their castles, markets, and churches. We stayed at L’Ancien Cafe, a real bed and breakfast gem in the quaint Commune of Aubigne. Coming from Australia, I hadn't experienced this little taste of French countryside before. Each morning, opening the shutters to the nearby church spire was such a joy. The hosts are lovely and have worked hard to keep the old building's charm while making sure it has modern comforts. It's a perfect spot to escape and relax. There are thoughtful places to sit all around the garden, so you can follow the sun or find some shade with a cup of tea or coffee, including beside the swimming pool.
