Appartements Place Bellecour

Place Bellecour is less than a two-minute walk away, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I slept really well because the room was quiet, with a good amount of space, a minibar, and comfortable beds. The shower is a little small, though the bathroom overall is very good and has been recently renovated. I’d recommend staying here.

We’d definitely stay here again if we’re back in Lyon. The hotel was spotless, with a modern feel and new furniture and bed in our room. It was listed as a double, but the bed was actually American queen size, which was nice. The bathroom and shower were the biggest we’ve had on this trip. It’s also very well placed in the heart of the peninsula, near metro and train stations, and an easy walk to the old city.

The one thing I didn’t care for was the old-fashioned, chunky room keys. Guests had to hand them in to be put on a board, and that didn’t look especially secure. Otherwise, very good: central, fairly priced, and with a decent buffet breakfast.

The location is amazing, and it was nice that we could open the windows, even though the view was limited. It’s a charming hotel where time seems to have paused a little. The rooms are more than okay, and the beds quite comfortable.
