Hotel du Dauphiné

Mahdy was really kind, and both the service and location were very good. I stayed for two nights and would come back 😍

The reception man was incredibly polite and spoke English, which made things much easier for us. After checking around ten hotels for an affordable stay in Lyon, we found this one and got a price of 32€ per person for the night. There were five of us, split between two rooms. One room was roomy enough for four, while the room for two was much smaller. Both were clean, attractive and comfortable, and had a welcoming feel. We had a fan and a mini-fridge. We could leave our bags at the hotel for free after checkout, which was so helpful. The man at reception did a lot for us, including explaining the transport options and how to reach the airport. We followed his directions and got there safely. I’d recommend it if, like us, you want a room and kind service more than anything fancy. We were happy with our stay.

The hotel’s a bit run down, but the price makes sense for a big city. The staff were friendly and the location was great. There’s a car park next door, just ask at reception.

Good value, especially for the location. The room has that typical French hotel feel and worked well for a couple of nights. I also liked the breakfast, it was very good for the price.
