The room I was given had a tiny window tucked high into an obstructed corner, so it felt completely windowless. I raised this with the staff straight away, but they said the hotel was full and couldn't move me to a room with a proper window and daylight. That room didn't match what I'd booked. I stayed at Maison No hotel Lyon on 7-8 January and had booked a “standard room.” Its illustration showed a normal-sized window beside the bed. Since there was also a room option described as “without Daylight,” I expected the standard room to have a decent opening to the outside. The pictures of the actual room tell a different story.

I asked almost three weeks ahead to change my stay because my flight changed unexpectedly, but the hotel wouldn't adjust anything, citing the non-refundable rate. The change was outside my control, and I was disappointed by how little understanding they showed. This was the first time I'd paid the full amount so far in advance, and also the first time a hotel seemed completely unwilling to help. For a hotel in this category, I expected more flexibility, care, and basic humanity. I can't recommend it.

The rooftop bar, sauna, and fitness room were all great, and we had a fantastic stay in Lyon. At check-in, a really helpful guy at reception went above and beyond for us.

We had a really good two-night stay. The place was clean and modern, the staff spoke perfect English, and it was central and handy for the metro. The price was very reasonable, and we'd come back. The low TripAdvisor reviews made me hesitate before booking, but the Expedia reviews turned out to be accurate.

Our room at MAISON NÔ hotel was modern and spotless, and it was a relief to come back to somewhere cool and comfortable when the temperatures climbed. The staff were especially warm and helpful. The location was ideal for seeing Lyon, right in a lively district full of restaurants, shops, and sights, yet on a quiet street.
