My French is only average, but Mark and Catherine made it easy to get by. They were warm and welcoming, and speak both French and English.

We had a whole floor to ourselves, with a living room, bedroom, and bathroom, and the place itself is charming and wonderfully restful, with even a private lake. We booked online, but the hosts hadn't been notified. They greeted us kindly anyway, offered us a drink right away, and reassured us that all was fine. They were delightful and made us feel at ease. I highly recommend it.

The bedding was just the right firmness, and the only sounds around were birds and frogs. The house sits in a lovely park full of trees and flowers. Mr. and Mrs. were so welcoming, and Mrs. is a remarkable cook. Her brioche cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious; the homemade ice cream and birthday cake used fruit from the garden too. A place worth seeing.

Tucked away at the end of a little country lane, the house has a quiet, wooded, bucolic feel. Our hosts were warm and attentive, and breakfast was delicious, with local and homemade food.
