The owners went out of their way to make our stay feel special and take care of what we needed. The whole place has been decorated with real taste, and it gave us the feeling of stepping back into Victor Hugo's time. We had a great stay in this traditional hotel.

We especially loved the owner. He was so warm and upbeat, with a booming voice that made his morning greetings hard to forget. When we left, we joked about taking him along with us. The hotel itself was just what we wanted, and then some: a little gem in the lovely seaside town of Ault, with beautifully decorated rooms, superb beds, and a breakfast we really enjoyed.

The staff and owner gave brilliant service, and the hotel has loads of character. The rooms are quirky but comfortable, with jacuzzi baths. Breakfast was good, and you can have champagne if you want. They speak English.
