La Grange Champenoise

The quiet countryside setting made it easy for us to relax, and we loved the greenery around the property. Our room was spacious and bright, the bathroom had a large bath with a shower head, and the place felt clean and lovely, with cream and light grey decor. Outside, there was a flower-filled front garden with a little swing and seesaw for children. The owner was friendly and welcoming. We drove from Surrey, England, and had booked one night through Expedia. We arrived last night, 19.08.17, and Reims was around 15-20 minutes away by car. Free parking was available behind the garden. There were front and back entrances with gates. The front gate closes at a certain time in the evening, but we could use a code to drive in through the back gate. Breakfast in the dining room the next morning included tea or coffee, French baguette, cheese, fresh melon, cake, a plain croissant, butter and jam, and fresh natural yoghurt. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back. We’re 24 and were on a car trip to Vienna and back to Surrey, celebrating our 2nd Wedding anniversary.

Breakfast was very French in a good way, with plenty to eat and great OJ. The rooms were really comfortable, and it’s a high-quality B&B that makes a nice place to stop. Well done.

The owner cancelled our Easter weekend stay the day before we were due to arrive, while the hotel was still charging an unnecessary surcharge. Absolutely unacceptable.
