Le Domaine de la Cour

We spend our annual weekend with friends here, usually 10 to 15 couples with children, and it works really well for a big group. The grounds are superb, far enough from the village that we can play music, and there’s an indoor pool for the children. The welcome is very relaxed. It’s a good central base for the northern half of France. Alençon is close enough for bulk shopping, and in Sées you can pick up groceries from excellent local artisans. Some rooms are a bit basic and not super clean, which is a small drawback, but overall it’s good.

A lovely quiet, peaceful spot, and the owners are kind and accommodating. The cottage sits in an absolutely stunning setting, just two hours from Paris, so it’s great for a weekend away. Rooms are spacious, clean and pleasant, and almost every one has a private bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped, including a professional dishwasher that makes quick dishwashing handy. There’s a spacious main room you can set up for dining, dancing, games, or whatever the occasion calls for. There’s also a separate room with a billiards table and foosball.

Our week with a large group of students was a wonderful stay at this charming estate, and we highly recommend it. The hosts were pleasant and very attentive, and the bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The estate works for groups large or small, with cottages in different sizes. It’s well set up for a holiday: the kitchen has several fridges and ovens and plenty of dishes, and the sound system with speakers and turntables works very well. There’s plenty to do, too, with an indoor pool, much appreciated in typical Normandy weather, a ping-pong table, two pool tables in their own room, and foosball. Great for fun with friends or family. Just be aware that bed linen, including sheets and towels, isn’t automatically included in the rental price. Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality.

The rooms and the provided facilities, including the kitchen, were extremely satisfactory. The cottage is well located, about two hours from Paris and far from the neighborhood. The owners were especially welcoming and gave our association group free rein for an exceptional weekend of cohesion.
