We stayed at Maison de Campagne for 10 days, just under an hour's drive from Toulouse, and were glad we did, a week wouldn't have been enough. Booking was seamless, and the property was immaculate and superbly equipped. Allison and Nick have thought of everything. They're warm hosts with an encyclopedic knowledge of the area, discreet but always available if you need them. You could happily spend the whole holiday on the beautiful estate, with its well-equipped games room, stunning pool and lovely lake. There are also traditional towns and villages nearby, gorgeous markets, a great municipal golf course 10 minutes away, and a go-karting track a short drive away, with plenty more to do.

One night walking the Chemin Saint Jacques was far too short. Alison and Nick have made Le Farat a real gem, and the beauty of the gîte and their heartfelt hospitality made us feel more like friends than guests. Thoughtful touches, a peaceful wellness atmosphere and an unforgettable breakfast left us feeling rejuvenated and already wishing we could return. A perfect, peaceful escape.

The proprietors are warm and welcoming, and the house and grounds are gorgeous. Spacious, very comfortable rooms make it an ideal spot to rest and relax. We're thrilled with it here. Whether you're walking the Puy, biking or driving, you'll find comfort and care.

Alison and Nick were wonderful hosts, ready to help with anything and full of great ideas for local activities and restaurants. Iris Cafe, about 1 km away, served excellent food. This calm, idyllic place has luxurious, spacious accommodation with a large bedroom, wardrobe room, huge marble bathroom and separate dining and lounge area. Lots of coffee and tea choices, plus a delicious continental breakfast each morning. There's also a private garden, lake and swimming pool area. It's listed as a b&b but offers so much more, and is well worth stopping at if you're passing through.

We had an amazing July stay at Maison de Soleil. Even through several days of 39-40C heat, the Gite stayed really cool, and we made very good use of the lovely pool. The place was perfect and had everything we could ask for. Allison and Nick were incredibly kind, considerate and helpful. We'd never been to that part of France before, but it was stunning, with wonderful hilltop villages and lakes and rivers to swim in. We'll be going back to Le Farat and can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks, Allison and Nick.
