The pool was lovely, and the rooms were finished to a high standard. It's a charming little hotel set a few kilometres from town, so you'll need a car, but the quiet, secluded setting is a real draw. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. Air conditioning and huge smart TVs were nice extras.

We’ve stopped here several times while travelling north and south through France. It’s in a beautiful, peaceful spot, and the family rooms work well for two adults and two children. There’s a pleasant pool, plus EV charging if you need it.

Room 17 was spacious, with a lovely stone floor and a shaded terrace at the back. The hotel has 14 characterful rooms spread across gorgeous old buildings, and the grounds include a pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. Its position between towns worked well for us, with several supermarkets less than 10 minutes away. We could cook dinner on the kitchenette’s gas hob, or eat at the hotel restaurant.

We brought our dog and spent a lovely, relaxed afternoon drinking Rosé in the well-kept gardens. The restaurant menu changes depending on what fresh local ingredients are available, and the chef makes good use of them. We stayed twice, once on the way to Bergerac and again on the return. The hotel has a warm, welcoming feel, almost like a family-run place.

The food was delicious and very well prepared, though the menu is fairly small. We stayed here while travelling from Normandy to the South West of France, and found the hotel clean, well kept, and very well run, with friendly staff. Our room was in a separate annexe and felt more like a spacious flat, with a kitchenette, dishwasher and all the cooking equipment. It was laid out well and very clean. There’s also a small heated pool, which was a wonderful extra. History, philosophy or maths buffs may like to know that the main hotel building used to be the home of Rene Descartes. I noticed two Tesla charging points in the car park, though I don’t think they’re superchargers, just regular chargers. Just outside the hotel entrance, a beekeeper sells honey in lots of tasty varieties.
