The room was huge, and the quality of the materials and all the little details made it feel properly luxurious. I booked Chateau for a wedding nearby without expecting much, but it completely surprised me. We got in late while the host was eating with guests, and she invited us to join them. The homemade fish was delicious, the apple pie made with fruit from the castle was amazing, and there was a mouthwatering cheese platter too. Breakfast was all homemade, with fruit and jam from the castle. I’d recommend it and would happily return.

The rooms are comfortable and renovated, though you’ll need to climb two or three flights of stairs to reach them. There’s lots of early 19th-century character on the ground floor. A lovely spot for a few nights while visiting nearby villages like Gerberoy.

We used this gorgeous chateau in the French countryside as a base for watching the Tour de France. It’s a perfect place for a weekend away, with a lovely breakfast and an amazing three-course dinner.

Clean and quiet, with a good location and a lovely garden. There’s also a fitness room, billiards, and other facilities. The hosts were great, polite and helpful, and they speak English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. Breakfast was excellent. Wonderful place.

The internet worked really well for remote work, and we loved spending a day walking around the garden and enjoying the private park. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was really good, with eggs from their garden. We had an amazing stay at Chateau d’Avesnes and will definitely come back.
