Hotel De Cambis

The only small drawback was the lack of bedside lighting, which made reading at night difficult. Otherwise, I’d definitely stay again. My fourth-floor room was clean and recently decorated, with two sets of patio doors looking over the main street, but nighttime noise was negligible. The glass wall between the bathroom and bed is a cool touch. There was a bathtub as well as a separate, excellent shower room, and USB A and C outlets on both sides of the bed. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is great, a 5 minute walk from the central train station and 10 minutes from the papal palace, with lots of restaurants nearby.

The bathroom lighting was very poor, like 5 watt bulbs or night lights, and a few fixtures were loose. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay. The staff were kind and breakfast was great, with a huge selection and good coffee. The hotel is minutes from Avignon Centre train station, and parking at nearby Jean Jaurès was easy and safe.

I could walk everywhere from Hotel de Cambis, and parking my car was simple. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the hotel was impeccably clean throughout. The staff took care of every detail and made sure my wishes were met. It’s a place with a real soul, and my stay felt truly unique. I enjoyed excellent wine with friends at the bar. Heartfelt thanks to the whole staff for making the visit so pleasant and unforgettable.

A characterful, well kept hotel within Avignon’s walls and not too far from the train station. There’s a small lounge and bar area near reception, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Avignon.
