The staff were friendly, spoke great English, and gave me a recommendation for the hotel during my ride up to Mont Ventoux. I went around mid-October, when the place was pretty quiet. They have bike storage, though I emailed ahead to let them know I needed it. The room was okay and I slept fairly well. My single room had a double bed, with the shower inside the room and the toilet in a separate space. Wi-Fi was free, but the signal got weak farther from reception. Avignon Centre was about five minutes up the main street from where I got off the train. I had transferred there from Avignon TGV, where the Eurostar arrives and departs. The hotel is inside Avignon's city walls, and Palais des Papes is around a 10-15 minute walk away. I'd definitely stay again on my next bike trip. If you want to pay more for a more comfortable stay, you may prefer somewhere else. Accommodation inside the walls of Avignon City is usually quite expensive.

The one thing I liked was the very comfortable bed. The room itself was much too small, and the bathroom and toilet were squeezed into a big closet behind a folding door. I'm 1.81m tall, and the bathroom door nearly hit my knees when I sat on the toilet. From the condition of both the room and bathroom, major renovation is needed. Breakfast was fine if you got up at 7:30 am. Later on, the microwaved coffee was awful. A thermos would surely help it taste better. I'd avoid the place until the renovation work is done.

Unclean and creepy. I'm not fussy, but hygiene matters to me. The walls were stained and dirty, the pillow hadn't been changed, and the shower was moldy. The toilet bowl was broken, and the mattress felt like a hard wooden plank. For the price, that's unacceptable.

I took over Hotel Innova-Cardabella in September 2012 as its new manager. It's a simple hotel, and I'm committed to keeping it clean and welcoming. As the months go by, I plan to keep improving the comfort of the rooms. Come by and meet me.
