The second room was much too small and uncomfortable. We booked the Capeline suite by mistake, since it really suits a family with kids rather than four adults. The hotel itself is beautiful, the owner is very nice, and the restaurant was perfect.

We spent the evenings unwinding at this peaceful spot after exploring around Avignon during the day. Our two-bedroom suite was just right, with lovely decor and carefully kept grounds. There’s a heated pool, an on-site restaurant, and a poolside bar stocked with wine, drinks, and snacks on an honor system. We loved our stay at Mas Capelou, and would happily recommend this hidden gem.

The garden, with fruit trees, flowers, a lovely pool, and tucked-away little ‘caves’, made the estate feel complete. Inside, the rooms were clean and nice, and breakfast had a Provençal feel. The restaurant was well run, serving tapas in an African setting. We had a lovely week near Avignon, thanks! 🤗

I rarely leave reviews, but Valerie has made a really lovely place. It’s peaceful, stylish, and clean, with a beautiful garden, pool, and restaurant on site, all close to Avignon. I recommend it very highly.

It’s wonderfully quiet and relaxing, while still only about a 10-minute drive from Avignon. The hotel sits on Barthelasse island, feeling nicely tucked away. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and great, and the owner and staff were kind and helpful. Such a beautiful place. I’ll definitely come back.
