Logis Hôtel Domaine du Moulin Cavier - Restaurants & Spa

The spa at the Moulin Cavier estate was clean and the staff kept it that way. We enjoyed our time there, and the one-hour massage was very good. The only small downside was the lack of a limit on how many people could use the spa, so at certain times it got far too crowded for the space.

We used to enjoy treating ourselves here every month, so it’s really regrettable that we won’t be coming back. After what seemed like clearly excessive chloramine exposure at the Moulin Cavier Relaxation Spa, we had skin burns, intense burning, redness, discoloration, and even hair loss without intending it, including on our heads. This felt abnormal and alarming. What was just as upsetting was the manager’s response. There was no apology, no check on how we were feeling or whether we needed help, and no sign of concern about our pain. The only reply was, “My levels are fine,” with no empathy or reflection. No goodwill gesture or refund was offered at first. We expected at least a refund, and perhaps some further compensation given what happened. Only after we reported the incident ourselves did an employee, at the manager’s request, give us a voucher for a free visit. In an incident like this, people need to be treated with care and the business needs to show professional responsibility. We felt both were completely missing.

We called to arrange a time slot that worked for us because the online booking system wasn’t working. Planity never sent us a confirmation email, and when we turned up this evening for our treatment, our names weren’t on the schedule. We changed our work arrangements and even got a babysitter for nothing. We’re very disappointed.

Emilie gave us a lovely welcome, so kind, smiling, and attentive. Justine and Emilie gave us a couples massage, a little escape from the winter gloom. I highly recommend it. The restaurants look so tempting, and we’ll be trying them soon.
