Residence Le Grand Tetras

It looks and feels like a hospital, and the bed sagged uncomfortably on one side. The wellness area was so-so, with a small pool and only two tubs, so you’d better get there early if you want a spot. At check-in they recite a list of chores and strongly remind you this isn’t a hotel. You’re expected to clean up after cooking, wash the dishes, strip the sheets and towels before leaving, and take your rubbish to bins near the front of the residence. When I asked for toilet paper, the salty receptionist repeated that it wasn’t a hotel and I should buy my own. Breakfast wasn’t interesting, and you’re better off at a coffee shop or buying something at the epicerie. It’s served in your room, but they often show up ten minutes early and bang loudly on the door, so you have to haul yourself out of bed. I don’t think I’ll return.

We stayed one night and didn’t get any rest. They were chipping away at the ground outside our room, and nobody warned us when we booked. We weren’t offered another room or a discount. There’s no internet either. A scam for the price 😂

It has an old-fashioned feel, but the reception service was very nice. The location is top notch, right in the middle of town.

The service was excellent. It’s relatively inexpensive, and you can cook for yourself since the rooms have cooking facilities.
