There’s plenty of shade on most of the pitches, and the views are gorgeous. It’s a great campsite, with really large pitches, and I’d definitely come back. It’s especially handy if you have a dog: there’s a quiet little road you can reach directly from the back of the site, with a dog waste bin about halfway along the path.

We were parked less than 10 metres from the Dordogne, and the site was so peaceful. The pitches are spacious and level, and it would make a great base for exploring the area. We arrived on 22.09.23, right at the end of the season, so we were the only camper there. The staff were really helpful and opened a cabin so my disabled wife could use the shower.

Our pitch was right by the Dordogne, where we watched swans and other birds, and were pleasantly free of biting insects. It had electricity and water too. We meant to stay two nights but enjoyed it enough to stay four. There’s a nice pool, and we got a good takeaway pizza from the pool bar. The shower block was clean and organised, with soap, toilet paper and hand gel. Pitches are a good size. There are children’s activities and a kids’ club, plus pétanque, mini golf and more. The staff were friendly, and there’s a fine dining hotel restaurant just outside the campsite for a special meal. It was lovely and quiet after 10:30 pm.

The chalet was spotless, and we had a really relaxing weekend at this charming campsite beside the Dordogne. We got such a warm welcome, and the receptionist was very pleasant. I’d highly recommend it.
