The forest setting is the main draw here, with plenty of hiking nearby. The team was so welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. We ordered the 25 euro breakfast for the room and it arrived right on time, within 10-15 mins of the time we’d agreed. It was fantastic. Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but I didn’t take points off for that since getting away from being online and enjoying nature is part of the point. My only real reservation is value: I think the rooms could cost a tiny bit less, though I understand the appeal of the enchanting location.

We had a really nice weekend and will definitely come back. The hotel sits in the woods beside a splendid, well-kept park full of trees and flowers. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely furnished, and the breakfast was excellent quality. The staff were professional and helpful throughout. Do eat at the restaurant ‚Arnsbourg‘ just across the road. It’s a high-level gastronomic restaurant with an outstanding view and, for the quality, good value.
