Appartement Abadie

The mountain scenery is beautiful, and there are lots of hiking paths within 10 km. I even spotted a deer on my last morning. Bagnères-de-Bigorre’s center is fairly close, though walking or cycling there is a bit of a trek. I was there at the beginning of March 2026 and found the place exceptionally quiet, with a very warm welcome. The accommodation was clean and well laid out, the bedding was high quality, and the kitchen had everything needed and worked well. Thanks to Martine and her family for being so kind, and to the chickens for keeping us company.

The hosts were attentive and very kind. I found the apartment spacious, clean, and cozy, with a quiet setting that was great for unwinding. It’s also well placed for driving around and exploring the area.

We spent a week here and felt really welcome. The hosts were a 10! ❤️

Martine gave us a warm but discreet welcome and showed us the ground-floor apartment. It has a living room and kitchen, two bedrooms, and a lovely bathroom. Outside, there’s a sheltered green spot among shrubs and flowers where you can cook and eat, while friendly chickens wander around the courtyard. It’s a peaceful place with plenty of fresh air. The house sits at the end of a long, gently rising road through beautiful green countryside. From there, the view opens toward the majestic Pic du Midi de Bigorre and a broad, quiet landscape ringed by mountains. I’m especially glad I booked a massage with Martine. It was divine, and the feeling of deep relaxation and well-being stayed with me for several days. I highly recommend it!
