We had a wonderful weekend hiking, but the receptionist’s treatment left us with a bad taste and soured the end of the trip. We don’t expect staff to smile all the time, especially in a stressful job, but guests shouldn’t be spoken to as if they’re hated. The receptionist was rude to everyone we saw. I can’t tell whether he treated foreigners differently or acted that way with all guests. At 8 pm, we came back to the apartment and asked for the main entrance PIN, which we hadn’t been given. He snapped, “What do you think? This is not Madrid or Ibiza.” At checkout the next day, we waited in line for over 40 minutes. A couple from Switzerland complained about the long wait, and he curtly told them to “just wait” without looking at them. When their checkout was done, he said, “You can go,” in a rough way. Other people in line couldn’t believe how he was acting and were talking among themselves about how disappointed they were with the treatment. In my view, that wasn’t professional.

For the price, it was a great apartment and a convenient stopover. The covered parking felt secure, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly. The pool was cold, but fine, and the kids had a nice games room.
