A bit old and gloomy, but decent enough.

The owner was so friendly and attentive, and gave us great advice. He even bakes the breakfast croissants himself, which were absolutely divine, and that smell when you wake up is such a treat. The train-themed decor is done with real taste, the rooms are clean, and the location is ideal: right opposite the Luchon thermal baths and under a 15-minute walk from the gondolas to the ski area. The bedding could be more consistent, but it's a superb, one-of-a-kind hotel. If you're in the area, stay here. You won't regret it.

We could bring our cat with us at no extra cost, and the manager was lovely and very accommodating from booking right through to departure. The hotel is clean everywhere, and its train theme is carried through in all the details. I loved all the vintage pieces. Our renovated room was comfortable and had everything we needed, with good space, closets, and a well-equipped bathroom and kitchen. A small bathroom cabinet for toiletries would have been handy. The location is great, opposite the thermal baths and within walking distance of the town center and ski lifts. There's free parking and a discount through a partner for ski rentals. Breakfast was included, simple and efficient. Some fruit and savory choices would have been nice, but that's a minor thing. Excellent value for money, and we'll definitely return. I highly recommend it.

The manager made us feel like royalty. Our room was superbly equipped, completely private, and had a magnificent view. Breakfast was plentiful too. I highly recommend this hotel.
