The stay was good value for the price, and the owner made us feel very welcome. We were there during the third week of August 2014, in Baixas, a lovely village surrounded by vineyards. The rooms were clean, breakfast was generous, and there was a refrigerator for food. Wi-Fi and Ethernet were available in every room. It’s a simple, comfortable place, about a 20-minute drive from the beaches. One thing to watch: the parking area has video surveillance but no gate, so don’t leave anything in or on your vehicle overnight.

This place has since closed. When it was open, it was a holiday spot with a good restaurant.

The welcome was warm, and the meals were very good and carefully prepared.
