Residence Le Bosquet

The apartment was spacious, well equipped, and very clean, and the residence had a lovely pool and a breathtaking view of Bandol and its bay. We thought we’d found a peaceful place to enjoy the region and the sunshine on our next holiday. Then we just learned that the prefecture has requisitioned the residence to turn it into social housing. What a waste! I feel for the other residents too. 😲😲😲

We had a wonderful holiday, and I’m so grateful for the fantastic apartment, the breathtaking view over Bandol harbor and the sea, and the warm welcome from the top-notch staff. I definitely plan to come back next year, thank you so much! Just two small things: the TV is much too small, and the toilet paper holder behind the toilet, above the cistern, isn’t very practical. Otherwise, perfect 👌

The accommodation was peaceful and we slept well during a pleasant week. The residence itself is beautiful, with a magnificent view, and the pool is clean and great. Just be aware it’s shared with Les Katikas and sits three blocks below our accommodation. Since I was pregnant, the climb back up those 150 steps was tiring. It wasn’t very crowded, though. I was disappointed by how unclean the place was. As soon as we arrived, I had to sweep, and my daughter found lint on the bedside table shelf. I think cleaning should be required and included in the booking price. I also wrote on the check-in inventory that the bedside lamp wasn’t working, but nobody came to fix it. It’s quiet here, but you need a car for the essential shops, which are 1.5 km away. The residence lets you order bread for the next day between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, but you have to remember to place the order. If you need bread at the last minute, you’ll have to drive. I’m taking off two stars for the poor cleanliness and the distance to the shops.

The studio itself is very good, but the reception really let us down. We got there at 1:50 p.m. and waited ten minutes outside the closed door, while the employee inside acted as if they hadn’t seen us. We were also told to buy a garbage bag if we needed another one, since reception only provides one. At €150 a night, I find that a bit much. The studio is very good otherwise.
