The hotel is only a few minutes from the D39, right by the border, so it's easy to reach whether you're heading into Germany or farther into France. I found it worth the price. It's a small place with roomy parking and a nice atmosphere, and the room was pleasant and quiet enough for a good night's sleep. A good choice if you're traveling and need somewhere peaceful for the night.

The people were really friendly, and breakfast was very good. My room, though, was stuffy and faced a noisy street. It was also beside reception and the breakfast area, so I could hear the owners watching TV at night through the door, then guests eating in the morning woke me up. Fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer.

Silvie made me feel at home straight away. Her warm welcome, homemade Bundt cake and homemade jam, including one made with zucchini, gave the place such a calm, gentle feel. The rooms are simple and have a 1970s look, with rugs and dark old-fashioned wooden chairs. It does feel like stepping back into a time that's gone, which is almost touching, but everything works, including the Wi-Fi and en-suite bathroom. Incredible.
